I keep one in either end of the house. That way I never have very far to grab my vac. Had them for many years. As for a robot vac the Eufy is hard to beat. I bought one for my grandson and his girlfriend a year and a half ago and it’s still going strong.

I sold Kirby vacuums door to door 32 years ago. Your post brought nostalgia LOL

I know they are old school compared to newer vacuums, but they will last a long, long time.

I didn’t know how to work the machine that we had, I couldn’t find any where he put any of the attachments, and it was too heavy for me so I bought a new Shark and I love it. It is light weight, powerful (it actually sucked one of my socks off of my foot when I was using it!), and it is so easy to keep clean. Best of all it was affordable at under $200.

We have the same one and love it. We have had it for a few years and it still works great. I just wish the dust collector was bigger. We have 3 dogs and it fills up quickly even when vacuuming every 2 or 3 days. We also have the Dyson V7 Pet and love it too. It works great for simpler jobs where I don’t want to have to go around plugging and unplugging the cord. The only downside to the Dyson is having to hold the button in to make it run. I get why it works that way (save battery power), but it’s hard on a hand with arthritis.

I got mine at Costco for under $200 in 2021. This summer I had a bizarre problem of yellowjackets nesting in our crawl space, getting in through a little space where a pipe came out through the wall. In a desperate measure to disrupt the nest and reduce the population, I set up my Shark vacuum cleaner so the nozzle sucked them up as they were going in and out. I ran it for hours at a time, for days on end. Sucked up a few thousand ‘jackets. Thought the vacuum cleaner had given up the ghost at one point. Nope. It had just overheated in the direct sun on a very hot day. It’s still going strong. Yeah, I’d go on tv for my Shark.

Claudia, thank you for taking the time to comment! I hope I see more comments from you in the future. I appreciate you sharing this information about the Shark Lift Away. By the way, age is just a number! 80+ years young! :-)
